Floral Laurel Cosplay (Flora) is a St. Louis based cosplayer with 4 years of experience in costume design, creation, and makeup. Her most notable works have been characters from the Lore Olympus webcomic by Rachel Smythe, including Hecate, Minthe, and Dread Queen Persephone. Flora is best known for her use of body paint and was chosen as Mehron's 2025 Cosplay Contest Grand Champion. Recently, Flora has taken up reading fantasy books and has fallen in love! She is inspired by strong female main characters like Aelin Galathynius from Throne of Glass, and Jasna Kolin from The Stormlight Archive. This new found passion led her to become a guest cosplayer at the Flame and Fantasy Ball in Kansas City this past April where she dressed as Dread Queen Persephone. For Flora, cosplay is about expressing your creativity, building community, and making lifelong memories.
