Bind Your Own Fanfic: Bookbinding for Beginners

Do you enjoy fanfiction? Interested in binding your favorite fanfic? Come to this interactive session where you can learn the ins and outs of bookbinding, see examples of bound fics, and even bind a fanfic yourself! All materials will be provided to bind a quarto fanfic from a variety of presewn textblocks of fics from Harry Potter, ACOTAR, Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, and other fandoms.

Preregistration is required, along with a materials fee. Registration will be available on June 25th. Please keep an eye on EnchantiCon social media and/or emails for further information.

Join hosts Theo and Ann as they discuss the history of the ancient craft of cross-stitch, and how what was once relegated as an “old lady hobby” has enjoyed a renaissance with a pop culture and subversive twist. After the discussion, learn the basics of cross-stitch with a take-home project of your own!

Fold origami you will! Come and learn how to fold characters from the Star Wars universe using origami. Designs will be modeled on the excellent book series Origami Yoda by Tom Angelberger. Each Yoda can be customized with an individual origami lightsaber.

This class provides an overview of medieval European clothing styles, accompanied by pattern diagrams and guidance on how to use them. The focus is on the foundational skill of drafting patterns from scratch, going beyond the modification of commercial patterns. Prior sewing experience is required.
